Hoya Lauterbachii, often called the lotus Hoya, is one of the largest Hoya species in the world. It is distinguished by its enormous cup-shaped flowers and velvety, soft leaves. The flowers are so large (approximately 7-10 cm per flower) that they have earned the nickname “coffee cup Hoya.” The flowers are reddish-copper or deep pink with a cream or yellow center. They usually bloom in clusters of 7-8 flowers, which together can be almost the size of a football.They have a strong, sweet fragrance, similar to chocolate.
