• Recovery Period: Place your plants in a bright, shaded, and well-ventilated area for the first 3–7 days. Avoid disturbing the roots during this time.
• Optimal Light: Keep the plants away from direct sunlight and extreme temperature fluctuations (keep away from AC vents or heaters) during the initial acclimation stage.
• Hydration: Upon arrival, if the sphagnum moss feels dry, water lightly or mist to maintain consistent moisture. Do not saturate or soak the roots in water, as this can cause root rot after transit stress.
• Humidity is Key: For variegated aroids, maintaining high humidity (70-80%) during the first week is crucial. Using a humidifier or a clear plastic cover (humidity dome) can significantly speed up recovery.
• Hold the Fertilizer: Do not fertilize your plants for at least 2–4 weeks until you see signs of new growth. Let the plant stabilize first.
• Pruning: It is normal for 1-2 leaves to yellow after a long journey. If necessary, carefully prune any damaged foliage with sterile shears to encourage new growth.
